Great work. I'm a big fan of linocuts. I'd love to know how you did the sky.

It's a long time since I've done lino work. A needle... wow. You must hurt your fingers a lot. :) In the past I have used caustic soda to etch lino (using wax to resist the caustic soda), and I've also used a tiny electric engraving tool. I really like your lino work - it has so much energy.

Hope this helps :)

Typical cheaper set: [link]
Wide range: [link] (check out the left hand menu)
Better quality: [link] and [link]

You can also buy flexible attachments for ordinary home power drills: [link]

There are all sorts of attachments and bits, but a small diamond bit will cut through almost anything. I imagine it would get through lino very easily. You'll get a different edge on a 'cut' from that you get using a knfe or cutting tool (although a drill would make small neat holes, and they might make a router bit), but your sky would have been very fast. :)

You're really welcome. :) I know people use these tools for all sorts of things, including fine work on ceramics. But when I saw your sky, I thought of ways to make all those tiny holes.
