There are all sorts of attachments and bits, but a small diamond bit will cut through almost anything. I imagine it would get through lino very easily. You'll get a different edge on a 'cut' from that you get using a knfe or cutting tool (although a drill would make small neat holes, and they might make a router bit), but your sky would have been very fast.
